The evening will open with works from Newsome's new album, BLUE SOLILOQUY, a collection of original compositions for solo saxophone. Followed by a suite "Lu Chai" by Okura inspired by a Tang Dynasty poem of the same title, encorporating erhu, shinobue, world percussion with a piano trio.
